In the conservation and upkeep of protected areas and in promoting sustainable development publicity and promotion have an important role to play. With this in mind, the Governing Board of the Biosphere Reserve has published numerous maps, leaflets, books and videos in recent years. This work is centred on the Documentation Centre, which opened in 1995. The bibliographical material held by the Centre can be consulted at the headquarters of the Governing Board, but there is also a database of material related to URDAIBAI which can be accessed from this WebSite and consulted at the Centre itself.
