One of the functions of the Governing Board of the URDAIBAI Biosphere Reserve is to foster research projects and studies on the area with a view to learning more about it and thus being able to set up measures to protect and develop it. Numerous research groups from a variety of disciplines are currently conducting work in and about URDAIBAI.
