The slopes in this space covered by holm and gall oak groves, with an entomologic fauna of considerable interest. Concretely, three coleopters that have been marked as of European Community Interest live in these forests: the stag beetle (Lucanus cervus), the Cerambyx cerdo longhorn beetle and the Osmoderma eremita cetonide. This latter beetle is in fact the naturalist jewel in this enclave as it is known in very few emplacements and its conservation is considered a priority in the European Union.
