Basque Catalogue of Threatened Species The Basque Government is publishing, in successive decrees, Basque Catalogue of Threatened Species of Wild and Marine Fauna and Flora. The mountainous areas of the Basque Country, together with cliffs, marshes and other coastal systems have turned out to be the preferential areas of distribution of threatened plants, whereas wetlands, broadleaved forests, caves and rocky areas are of the zones that shelter most of the threatened fauna.
