Sopelana receives 390 trees from the Provincial

The Provincial Council of Bizkaia has approved the plan of distribution of plants native trees between the municipalities of the Historical Territory of Bizkaia, which on the occasion of the celebration of Zuhaitz Eguna 2010 has been prepared by the County Council itself. Under this plan, Sopelana will receive a total of three hundred and ninety trees of different species: oak (100), beech (30), birch (30) American Oak (30), maple (50), ash (100) and Cherry (50).

These varieties will be planted in a tree vivarium that has been provided in the gymnasium of Urko and that will be completed with new species in successive years. The design goal is that as the trees will take consistency to different parts of Sopelana restocking with native species.
