Bizkaia's Provincial Library
Contents: The Bizkaia's Provincial Library contains a reserve collection of great cultural and historical interest (including 36 incunabula, 883 titles from the 16th century, 2268 titles from the 17th century and 8022 titles from the 18th century). From now on, editions and documents included in this section may be consulted on-line from the catalogue, as the images of the collection are gradually added to their library registers. The most important sections within the Provincial Library are:General Section,Basque Section. Specialised, Reference Section (General and Basque), Section for the blind and persons with an eyesight handicap (it allows for immediate access to printed texts, turning them into voice texts). Eusko Bibliographia (Provincial Council of Bizkaia)
Contents: Eusko Bibliographia is a reference bibliographic database of Basque authors and themes. The core of this database is made up of the bibliographic compilation work undertaken by the emeritus bibliographer Jon Bilbao throughout his lifetime, and which was lent to the Regional Library of Bizkaia for its treatment and international dissemination. The documentary records include more than 100,000 bibliographic references from various sources, brought together and treated to serve as research instruments for users and researchers studying or wishing information on the Basque culture. The database is fed by many sources and is a magnificent register of intellectual production. Bibliographic consultations can be made in Basque, French, English and Spanish and searches can be made by author, title, subject, key word, ... There are also help tools available, and explanatory screens providing advice and encouraging bibliographic searches, thus improving the use of the database.
The Koldo Mitxelena Arts Centre library - Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa
Contents: The Koldo Mitxelena Arts Centre library is a public service of the Department of Arts and Basque Language of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa. It is aimed at people over the age of 16, so that both the library collection and the installations and services we provide cater for this kind of user. It is considered to be a general library, and the stock kept in it takes in specific collections ranging from the oldest to the most up-to-date; from the Aizkibel, Eusko Ikaskuntza, Allende Salazar, Julio de Urquijo , Gabriel Celaya collections.... to modern electronic media on CD-ROM, videos, CDs, computer files, etc, etc.
General Archive of Gipuzkoa
Contents: The AGG/GAO has a series of publications structured in five collections: Elkarlanak / Events (activities organized by the Archive: Courses, conferences, exhibitions, etc.), Ikerlanak / Studies (historical studies on Gipuzkoa: fundamentally, doctoral theses), Inbentarioak /Inventories (bibliographical heritage-University of Oñati-and documentary heritage-archives of interest to Gipuzkoa, inventories, catalogues, guides, etc.), Iturriak / Sources (publications of reliable sources for general use: Transcriptions together with the studies required to comprehend and use these, and Bekak /Grants (the best studies on Gipuzkoa made with the historical research grants provided every year by the Culture Department of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
Library of the University of the Basque Country
Contents: The University Library is formed by the Central Library of the Leioa Campus and 24 Libraries of Faculties and Schools located on different Campuses. All bibliographical and documentary collections are freely accessible, except those to which access is restricted due to the physical nature of the premises. The collection consists of: 873,116 volumes; 17,008 magazines, of which 10,173 are being received although only 7,180 are received on a subscription basis, 2,382 maps, 63,044 photographs and slides, 70,257 microforms, 4,386 phonographic items, 6,878 videos and 2,972 CD-ROMs.

International Institute for the Sociology of Law-Oñati
Contents: The documentation which you can consult at the International Institute for the Sociology of Law (books, series, journals articles, grey literature) covers both Sociology of Law and other, related subjects, such as the Sociology of Legal Professions, Family Sociology, Sociology of Criminality and its Control, Police, Prisons, Administration of Justice, Human Rights, Marginalization and Public Policy. The majority of these documents are in English, although there are others in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, German, and to a lesser extent in other languages.
Library of the Sancho el Sabio Foundation
Contents: The main body of bibliographical works contained in this library came from the purchase of the Basque collection of the private library of Antonio Odriozola. Its aims are as follows: Compile, classify, preserve and disseminate documentation referring to Basque culture: Manuscripts dating from the 15th century, prints and cartographic material dating from the 16th century, graphics material dating from the 19th century and other materials on supports deriving from the new technologies. Today, this library is totally automated.
Bibliographical information on all books published in Spain since 1972, offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. Allows information to be consulted on any book published in Spain.

Contents: The Library of Congress, one of the largest libraries in the world and the national library of the United States, receives about 22,000 items every working day and adds about 10,000 of these items to its collections daily. These items, housed on more than 530 miles of shelves, are not only works in English but in 460 other languages as well.

Contents: Library with thousands of digitised books that can be downloaded free of charge. Most of these are in English, but there are also texts written in other languages. It also includes references to dictionaries, encyclopaedias and thesauruses.
The Internet Public Library
Contents: Computer science, Law, Science, entertainment and educational subjects. There are special sections for children and adolescents and it offers a huge number of links to digital periodicals in a large number of countries.

Contents: This is a virtual store that allows books to be purchased both in digital format and in paper format, but also offers digital books free of charge. It also allows users to register themselves and receive books by e-mail. Some of these are free, others are not.
The World eText Library
Contents: Web site in English containing works of classical literature, novels, bibliographies, dictionaries, encyclopaedias another kind of texts, they can be read online or downloaded.
